JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine HVAC-refrigeration, building and equipment repairs, mechanical and electrical troubleshoots, and plumbing tasks to ensure they are in good working order at all times within assigned restaurants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide handson maintenance to all restaurants; perform minor plumbing and electrical work.
• HVAC maintenance and repairs.
• Hot and cold kitchen equipment maintenance and repairs and assist with new equipment installation.
• Provide scheduled preventative maintenance and repair services to all restaurants in assigned region.
• Communicate effectively with Maintenance and Operations leaders on the status of repair situations and anticipated completion of all maintenance and repair projects.
• Support outside contractors as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High diploma or equivalent required
• Technical training in skilled trades including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
• Minimum three to five years of facilities maintenance experience, preferably in a restaurant environment

QUALIFICATIONS

• Environment Protection Agency (EPA); Type II or III certification
• HVAC and refrigeration certification in relation to restaurant equipment systems
• Ability to maintain and repair various types of electrical equipment
• Must be selfdisciplined, highly organized, responsive, and possess the ability to take initiative in dealing with routine issues as they are discovered
• Ability to multitask, manage time and work independently
• Must be able to work flexible hours as needed and available for emergency oncall

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations up to 25 feet.
• Exposure to some risk of injury or physical harm from onsite environments and a moderate degree of discomfort from yearround weather conditions.
• Jobs frequently require standing, walking, and reaching.
• Jobs occasionally requires sitting, talking, hearing, and handling objects with hands.
• Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
