- Facilitate and complete month-end closing procedures to include general ledger reconciliations, journal entries and have the ability to research and determine the most effective means of handling accounting transactions.
- Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash receipts, cash disbursements and general ledger functions.
- Maintain and create accounts within the accounting software for general ledger, accounts payable, and receivables.
- Works with direct reports to establish goals and objectives each year and monitor progress to enhance professional development of staff.
- Coordinate meetings with Strategic Planning and Analysis to communicate general ledger activity in relation to department budgets.
- Support the Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.
- Assist CFO and Controller with annual financial audit and tax return (Form 990) preparation
- Assist CFO and Controller with School Agreed Upon Procedures CPA Report Reviews
- Research, develop and maintain accounting policies in accordance with GAAP

- Bachelor's in Accounting
- 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong experience with Excel including Pivot Tables and VLookups
- Experience with general ledger, preparation of general ledger and bank account reconciliations
- Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable subsystem, processes, and transaction processing operations.
- Non-profit accounting experience
- CPA
- Knowledge of Epicor ERP or similar system (JD Edwards, Quickbooks)
- Tapalte payment system
