    Pay Range: $22.00-$24.00/hr.

    The Cou nter S ales Re p resentat i ve i s respons i ble for ass i st i ng customers and contractors w i th the sales process by tak i ng orders over the cou nter , answer i ng quest i ons, and rece i v i ng payment for customer orders. Th i s pos i t i on typ i cally works i n a reta i l env i ronment.

    • Greet and i nteract i n a pos i t i ve manner w i th customers. Ass i sts w i th quest i ons regard i ng merchand i se, locat i on of merchand i se i n store, pr i c i ng, and promot i ons.
    • Process customer sales through use of cash reg i ster. Rece i ve payment by cash, check, cred i t cards, vouchers, or automat i c deb i ts and processes accord i ng to company standard procedures.
    • Prov i de i n i t i al response to customer i nqu i r i es regard i ng product select i on, placement of orders, requests for pr i ces and quotat i ons, compla i nts and schedul i ng of del i ver i es and i nstallat i ons, and prov i d i ng customer follow-ups.
    • Fac i l i tate product select i on of scheduled and walk- i n showroom customers, us i ng pr op e r forms to assure cons i stent records of select i ons.
    • Purchase spec i al products and obta i n i nformat i on on pr i c i ng spec i f i cat i ons, uses, and ava i lab i l i ty.
    • Attend ass i gned tra i n i ng and meet i ngs as requ i red to i ncrease knowledge of ent i re product offer i ng.
    • Create accurate and complete i nvo i ces, work orders, and sales t i ckets. Code and i nput customer orders, pr i c i ng i nformat i on, and add i t i onal data i nto the computer system.
    • I ssue refunds or cred i ts to customers w i th manager approval when necessary.
    • Bag, box, or wrap merchand i se; prepare packages as necessary.

      • Correctly ma i nta i n all cash levels at the reg i sters, compute and record totals of transact i ons.
    • Respons i ble for appearance of the showroom, the phys i cal i ntegr i ty and pr i de of the showroom. Ma i nta i n store env i ronment i nclud i ng doors, floors, w i ndows, ce i l i ngs, restrooms, and workstat i ons. Clean and dust products, d i splays, and face of the products.
    • Ma i nta i n stock levels on the sales floor and i n the stockroom.
    • Ass i st w i th phys i cal i nventory.
    • Other dut i es as ass i gned by locat i on management.
    Knowledge, Sk i lls & Ab i l i t i es
    • M i n i mum educat i on requ i red - H i gh School D i ploma or GED equ i valent.
    • M i n i mal exper i ence requ i red - bu i ld i ng mater i al knowledge and sales exper i ence a plus.
    • Spec i al sk i lls requ i red - Comm i tment to prov i d i ng excellent customer serv i ce, strong oral and wr i tten commun i cat i on sk i lls. Ma i ntenance of profess i onal demeanor. Must be deta i l-or i ented and h i ghly observant. Must be able to mult i -task. Must possess good mathemat i c sk i lls. Able to use a calculator and computers.
    • Knowledge of bu i ld i ng mater i als, appl i cat i ons, related equ i pment, and/or construct i on i ndustry.
    • Good i nterpersonal and customer relat i ons sk i lls, vendor knowledge, ab i l i ty to read, wr i te, and perform bas i c mathemat i cal calculat i ons, and excellent oral and wr i tten commun i cat i on sk i lls.
    • Ab i l i ty to read and understand bluepr i nts.
    • Should be fam i l i ar w i th computer, pr i nter, telephone, c op y mach i ne, fax mach i ne, eng i neer's scale/ruler, mechan i cal tools, i nventory, and i nventory control.
    • Must be able to dr i ve and walk throughout yards, plants, and off i ces, computer l i terate w i th M i crosoft Off i ce products and Trend system.
    • Ab i l i ty to work Saturday and even i ng schedules as requ i red .
    • Phys i cal demands i nclude stand i ng regularly, walk , use hands and arms to f i nger, handle, feel, carry, or reach. Occas i onally requ i red to s i t; cl i mb or balance or sto op ; kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly l i ft i ng up to 25 lbs., frequently l i ft i ng up to 50 lbs., and occas i onally l i ft i ng up to 100 lbs.
