- Coordinate annual exit seminar presentations - collecting advisor availability, scheduling student presentations, hosting/managing in-person and virtual event logistics, preparing students
- Coordinate biannual program committee meetings, take meeting notes and post notes to committee
- Update, send, and track program alumni information, including annual survey and job database
- Coordinate program events over the year, including the EPP welcome reception, occasional guest visits, online webinars for applicants, student events, and our virtual open house webinars and social
- Set up annual online Conservation Essentials course enrollment (4 courses per year)
- Track applicant progress throughout the admissions cycle
- Respond to initial program inquiries through tailored emails and individual meetings, effectively describing the programs; track engagement and progress through Salesforce
- Work with DCS to create and update automated email campaigns in support of student recruitment
- Schedule phone and Zoom calls with potential students, and organize student visits to campus
- Monitor student degree progress - ensure all students are enrolled in program curriculum, organize and share enrollment information, maintain advisor information in Student Information System, request and submit graduation warrants.
- Create content and manage regular social media posts promoting the program and sharing relevant news in coordination with Nelson Institute Strategic Communications team
- Organize biannual EPP newsletter, including gathering content, writing updates, and distributing with Nelson Institute Strategic Communications team
- Coordinate ongoing website content updates with Assistant Director and Director and communicate updates with Nelson Institute Strategic Communications team
- Develop marketing program materials in cooperation with EPP Staff and Nelson Institute Strategic Communications team
- Minimum of one to two years combined experience (student organization leadership, on campus jobs, off campus jobs) with administrative work, project support work, communications work, or other relevant experiences.
- Demonstrated experience in project administration and/or project support, with examples of how you organize workflows and complete tasks on schedule
- Demonstrated experience in coordination/organization of events and meetings
- Demonstrated ability and interest in content creation and communications with a marketing focus, including social media posts to reach a targeted audience

The Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies is confronting global environmental challenges through interdisciplinary research, hands-on community-focused education, and public programs that foster environmental problem solving.
The Nelson Institute values and is committed to a liberal arts and professional education, built on the premise that complex environmental issues can best be understood through familiarity with diverse perspectives and integration of the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities.
We teach students to think critically, to apply their knowledge to solving environmental challenges, and to master technologies to help us reach better outcomes for the earth.
We are looking for a solutions-oriented, self-driven, and collaborative person to join the Environmental Professional Programs (EPP) team as our new EPP Specialist.
Under the direction of the International and Professional Programs Director and working closely with the Assistant Director, the EPP Specialist's primary responsibilities will be to support administrative aspects for two professional MS programs in environmental conservation and environmental observation and informatics.
The Specialist will also support student recruitment, communications and events planning; they will often be the first person that applicants interact with when they inquire about our MS programs.

A commitment to environmental conservation and higher education are also a priority.This is a partially remote position and whomever fills this position will have the opportunity to grow with our team and to take advantage of professional development opportunities that benefit our work and their goals.
