    Description

    Overview:

    Summary:
    Serves as the primary individual responsible for the SCADA platform that supports Lewis Energy's Production and Midstream businesses. Includes full range of support for Cygnet SCADA to include Device building/integration, HMI development, support via Cygn.


    Responsibilities:
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

    Maintains the CygNet SCADA platform, ensuring optimal performance and security.


    Utilizes Cygnet for Production (CygProd) to create and modify screen sets, add and modify points (end devices), and set up alarms, troubleshoot system issues, and provide technical support to resolve operational challenges.

    Manages CygProd upgrades and Disaster Recovery.

    Coordinates with measurement technicians to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair communication systems.

    Investigates, evaluates, and recommends hardware, software, or services required to repair, replace, enhance, update, or improve the SCADA environment.

    Identifies opportunities for applying the SCADA and automation capabilities to add value to the business and operations.

    Assists field personnel with troubleshooting data communication issues, ensuring seamless data integration into the CygNet system.

    Education and/or Experience

    Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; minimum 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability


    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

    Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Computer Skills


    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of file structures, data structures, graphics editors and scientific programming languages.

    Strong troubleshooting skills required.

    The individual must adhere to good programming practices and strict testing standards.

    Experience should focus on SCADA commissioning, design, and/or operations with Cygnet SCADA or another O&G focused SCADA System.

    Solid understanding of networks including security and communication protocols.

    Proven experience with at least one programming language.

    Experience and familiarity with CygNet for Production framework, data-model, and screens.

    Experience with creating DTF's within CygNet for multiple device types.

    Experience with developing template screens with data driven by Facility attributes.

    Experience with implementing and supporting CygNet FMS.

    Other Qualifications

    Experience working with Cygnet for Production (CygProd) and creating or modifying custom screen sets. Working knowledge of RocEIE and Modbus/XML.

    Experience with languages (VBScript/Java/C#) and understanding of database nomenclature.

    Knowledge of upgrades and Disaster Recovery is preferred.

    General knowledge of field devices and equipment.

    Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs is preferred.
