    Description

    GSE Workforce Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Coordinator I - Transmission/Distribution for a long-term contract opportunity at Georgia Power Plant in McDonough-Smyrna, GA starting ASAP.

    Position: Mechanical Coordinator I - T&D

    Work Location/Arrangement

    •This is an On-Site position.

    •Pay: DOE

    •Scheduled Contract Duration: 12 Months

    Job Responsibilities

    • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications, and the company's SOEs.
    • Interact daily with the stakeholders to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
    • Cooperate and communicate effectively with the project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
    • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
    • Field support for the project manager; ensuring that all work is being done correctly, efficiently, and within the constraints of the schedule.
    • Prepare progress reports and issue reports for the Project Manager
    • Supervise the activities of contractors and oversee day-to-day field activities.
    Requirements and Skills
    • Experience working in an industrial environment.
    • Experience with reading and comprehending P&IDs, Isometrics, Electrical drawings, logic diagrams, etc.
    • Ability to comprehend technical engineering documents and specifications.
    • Time management and organization skills
    • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong technical expertise and problem-solving abilities.
