    Description


    Korn Ferry has been engaged by a VC-backed Tax/Technology firm to identify an up-and-coming Tax Director to help scale their team growing team.

    Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a team of Tax and finance professionals while also partnering with cross-functional leaders to deliver company-wide strategic initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities Include:
    Working directly with Executive leadership, Advisory, Tax Technology, and other firm leaders to manage client tax needs.

    Oversee sophisticated and complex client tax planning needs, including 1040 tax preparation, estate tax strategy, gift transactions, business purchase/sale transactions, charitable gifts, entity structuring, and investment strategy.

    Facilitate client tax compliance, including reviewing tax returns, providing client audit support, and managing tax controversy.

    Review partnership agreements, trust documents, and estate planning documents, and identify trust and entity characteristics, ensuring all tax matters are dealt with appropriately.

    Communicate recommendations regarding risk mitigation, tax positions, potential future issues, and planning recommendations.
    Maintain knowledge of current tax legislation and issues that affect our clients.
    Perform and review tax research, planning projects, and other duties if needed.
    Ensure all deadlines deliverables are provided timely and consistently fashion.

    Experience Needed:
    Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, or Finance.
    CPA required
    10+ years of progressive experience in Tax support
    Experience working with high-net-worth individuals/families is highly preferred
