    The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for combining technical expertise with excellent interpersonal skills to assist in the creation of effective learning experiences for Wins employees.

    This position will work closely with the Director of Learning & Development to assess organization-wide developmental needs and drive training initiatives.

    The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and administering the use of the LMS system, including training users and troubleshooting common issues.

    The Learning & Development Specialist will also be responsible for monitoring staffs participation in all learning opportunities and reporting on key performance indicators.

    Key Accountabilities

    Collaboration

    Assist with conducting needs assessments to understand the skill sets required by employees.
    Assist with designing and developing training programs and materials that meet the organizations needs.
    Assist with facilitating and conducting training sessions, lunch & learns, workshops and webinars.
    Assist with evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and work with the Director to adjust, as necessary.

    LMS Administration

    Train staff and leaders on the use of the LMS system.
    Help with the creation of course activities in the LMS including advertising and tracking participation.
    Plan annual regulatory/mandatory training schedules and ensure staff participation.
    Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to continually update the LMS with other critical information.
    Create training schedules and manage the logistics of the sessions, including venues and materials.

    Facilitation

    Assist with the development and facilitation of new-hire orientation and 30/60/90 days sessions.
    Assist managers on the process of goal setting, performance reviews and identifying learning opportunities.
    Review performance evaluations to identify and recommend training needs.
    Manage and support in-house training space and equipment.
    Develop and support continuous education support materials to be used for reference once training has been completed.

    Continuous Learning

    Stay updated on new training methods and techniques.

    Update job knowledge by taking part in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

    Communication


    Assist with fostering a 'culture of learning' within WIN, which includes personal collaboration with individual managers/employees to address specific needs.

    Assist in developing and maintaining organizational communication with the company's employees on every level to promote the program and plan for additional training.


    Essential Functions:
    Must be able to sit at a computer for the majority of the workday.
    Must be able to use public transportation to attend Win meetings and other related events.


    Required Skills/Abilities:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Good presentation skills.
    Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and types of employees.


    Required Qualifications:
    Commitment to Wins mission, vision, and values.
    Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
    Two to three years of experience supporting managers with their training needs.
    Familiarization with LMS management and utilization (knowledge of Docebo a plus).
    Excellent Microsoft Office skills.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    SHRM-CP or SCP certification.
