Our communities are known for their high standards, consistently earning top scores from REAC inspections and WHEDA Reviews. We pride ourselves on fostering a friendly and supportive environment, not just for our residents but for our staff as well.

    Position Overview:

    We are currently seeking a skilled and personable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept in both light plumbing and electrical work, possess excellent problem-solving abilities, and demonstrate strong communication skills. This role requires a self-motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on work environment and is committed to providing high-quality service to our residents.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct routine and emergency maintenance of plumbing and electrical systems.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues efficiently and effectively.
    • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards.
    • Maintain a proactive approach to prevent potential issues.
    • Be available on-call according to a rotating schedule for two sites in Shorewood and one in Waukesha.
    • Foster positive interactions and relationships with residents and staff.
    • Keep accurate records of maintenance work conducted.
    • Utilize Real Page software for maintenance requests and record-keeping (experience preferred but will train).

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in maintenance with knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of Real Page property management software is a plus.
    • Must hold a valid driver's license.
    • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance requests.
    • Must display a positive demeanor and ability to interact well with residents and staff.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational schooling preferred.
