Position Goals:

The Summer Learning paraprofessional is responsible for successfully support students in bridging skill/behavior gaps in student learning.


Qualifications:


  • Active State of Delaware Certifications for paraprofessional
  • Experience using effective teaching practices
  • Experience and proven ability to effectively support the needs of students with gaps in learning

Minimum Requirements:


  • Experience working in an urban school environment required
  • Professional Development is required for curriculum materials

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Proven ability to analyze data to identify learning needs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ability to identify learning needs of students through use of data
  • Support students in skill areas of need using with support from researchbased practices and programs
  • Effectively teach required skill areas to Elementary students and/Middle/or High School students
  • Implements program that meets the individual needs of the students
  • Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior
  • Support in the assessment of students on a regular basis and provides reports as required, as well as notifying parents of student progress when necessary
  • Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
  • Support in maintaining accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation
  • Works cooperatively with all staff and parents
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Tuberculin Test
  • Mandatory Direct Deposit of paycheck

Pay:
$23.00 per hour

Experience:


  • Teaching: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:
