Serving the people of Southwestern Alaska, the Yukon-Kuskokwim Hospital is a 50-bed general acute care medical facility.Fully accredited by JCAHO, services include adult med/surg, pediatrics, obstetrics, emergency room, as well as outpatient family medicine clinics, pharmacy, lab, and imaging.
Position Summary:
In conjunction with the Family Center Coordinator and SOC team, will guide the Family-Driven Care component of the SOC, and advocate for family involvement throughout the SOC system, including collaboration with the child welfare system and the BH system in the region.
Position Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Associates (AA) degree in Social Work, Rural Human Services (RHS) certification or Human Service field preferred.(5) Five years experience in the field of behavioral health or similar community service, with at least two years experience with clients with severe and persistent mental illness preferred.
Valid Alaska Driver's License and ability to be insured under corporate policy.Basic counseling skills and knowledge of Calricaraq, Traditional Yup'ik Healing. Knowledge of child welfare issues in the region. Good verbal and writing communication skills. Bilingual Yup'ik/English required.
