General Responsibilities
Monitor sites for regulatory and company policy compliance. Provide support at each of the communities with on-site visits and serve as a help desk for compliance issues.

Utilize knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations relevant to affordable multi-family housing development, Housing Tax Credits and HUD programs to evaluate projects and provide assistance to ensure property managers are compliant.

Ensure all properties are in compliance with the required funding and program rules and regulations.


Essential Duties

  • Reports to President and Regional Managers about their respective properties.
  • Plans and conducts quarterly onsite review of projects whose funding sources consists of Tax Credit, HUD projectbased Section 8, Tax Exempt Bonds, AHP, CDBG and other private and public sources.
  • Verifies compliance with rules and regulations of various funding sources and Fair Housing standards.
  • Maintains records on compliance status of each individual property.
  • Recommends appropriate corrective action to resolve noncompliance; works with manager to correct noncompliance through corrective action.
  • Provides compliancerelated consultative services to site managers and their administrative staff.
  • Identifies trends in noncompliance and recommends corrective through changes in policies, procedures and training.
  • Assists the company with implementation of policies, procedures, processes and preparation of training material.
  • Reviews new applicant files, recertification, and interim packages for regulatory eligibility for assigned portfolio.
  • Assists in correcting mistakes by onsite staff.
  • Provides support and guidance to regional managers.
  • Monitors continuing program compliance for properties.
  • Monitors various state websites for any changes to program compliance.
  • Ensures sensitive data is secure and managed appropriately within the compliance department and throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrates high standards of leadership, conduct and ethics as well as appropriate judgment, independence, confidentiality, discretion, and ability to influence without authority.
  • Plans, oversee, schedule and coordinate property management audit responses and external reporting requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
