- Create a plan to boost parent engagement.
- Organize a series of parent education activities and initiatives to better understand adolescents.
- Assist in securing support from local businesses, companies, and organizations.
- Establish a communal hub within the school for parents, students, and the neighborhood.
- Aid in recruiting and training volunteers and supporters.
- Act as a point of contact for school-related groups like the Parent Teacher Association and Community Advisory Committee.
- Offer guidance to District personnel to enhance their awareness of the student community.
- Collaborate with community agencies to address issues hampering student attendance and learning.
- Support student and parent groups and conduct home visits.
- Coordinate the teacher-led home visit program in select schools.
- Inform parents and students through various channels such as face-to-face meetings, community gatherings, and school tours.
- Introduce students and parents to community events like cultural happenings, arts programs, and civic matters.
- Create and distribute materials and information about school programs to various audiences.
- Participate in professional development activities organized by the Family & Community Engagement Office.
- Establish student mentorship programs with the help of volunteers from the community and business sector.
- Perform assigned tasks and duties conscientiously.
- Stay updated on technical, legislative, and professional advancements as well as state and federal regulations affecting the community and student body.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Three years of documented experience in school or community settings
- Demonstrated expertise in methods and strategies for engaging home, school, and community to meet children's educational needs
- Familiarity with business and community standards and practices

About the Position
Main Responsibilities:
During this role, regular tasks include sitting, verbal and electronic communication, standing, moving within and between buildings and facilities, handling objects and tools, reaching, stooping, climbing, balancing, and driving. Periodic lifting or exerting force up to 10 pounds may be necessary. Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to focus.
