DESCRIPTION
Looking for a Sr. Accountant to assist with general and cost accounting functions for our aerospace manufacturing plant in Carson, CA.
Our high-tech, multi-material fastening systems are found nose to tail on aircraft and aero engines. Our products are also critical components of industrial gas turbines, automobiles, commercial transportation vehicles, and construction and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with General Accounting functions such as financial reporting, fixed assets management, inter-company accounting, and daily expense analysis.
Assist with month end closing including preparing and posting of journal entries
Assist in monitoring and managing of day-to-day cost accounting function including Raw material, Work-in-process and Finished goods inventory management
Review open and close work orders to analyze and correct variances and costing errors in the system.
Calculate inventory reserves and perform inventory reconciliations to report the final balances to Headquarter
Work with operations managers and planners to perform work orders weigh count and raw material and finished goods inventory cycle count audit
Assist in the preparation of the monthly business review and Business Unit Staff meeting packages
Perform a monthly testing of internal controls to maintain internal controls and to ensure that the location follows internal audit and headquarters' policies and procedures.
Assist with monthly forecast, planning and budgeting as needed
Other tasks as assigned
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong organizational skills; able to accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment
Minimum Years of Experience 3
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer 5+ years of Accounting experience
Cost Accounting experience in Manufacturing
Shop floor cost and budget variance analysis
Experience with inventory and variance analysis and management
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Oracle and ERP system
Experience with GAAP
Experience with ERP system integration (will be rare)
General Ledger experience, month end closing, journal entries
