Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated candidate looking to contribute more to their firm other than just tax preparation Beach Cities Tax is an established and growing tax practice that has just completed a newly acquisition.
The Senior Accountant (SA) will be responsible for growing and maintaining a growing tax practice as well as be responsible for the timely preparation and filing of both normal and complex tax returns.
Relevant Skills and Knowledge:
File taxes:
individuals, S-Corp, C-Corp, Exempt Organizations and Fiduciary
Communicate with tax authorities when necessary.
Prepare financial statements and reports.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
Perform bank reconciliations.
Prepare and review budgets.
Maintain and update accounting records.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns.
Deep knowledge of Quickbooks, LaCerte, ADP, Excel, Word and SmartVault.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (Required) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA license/EA (Preferred)
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in an Accountant role or similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
