We are recruiting a postdoctoral scientist interested in pre-clinical and translational studies to help us study how membrane trafficking controls tumor-intrinsic mechanisms of immune evasion and tumor progression/metastasis.
Potential postdoctoral projects include:
The Grossmann Lab is located at the Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where we are part of an outstanding community of cancer biologists and immunologists.
The Huntsman Cancer Institute is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with a vibrant and supportive research environment and access to state-of-the-art facilities, sitting right on the steps of the Wasatch Mountains.
Postdoc with a primary duty consisting research-related work. Required to meet FLSA threshold to be paid on a salaried basis, otherwise employment record will convert to hourly.Retirement provided.

Responsibilities
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
Knowledge or skill with routine cell culture, molecular biology and biochemical methods, and statistical analysis that is fundamental to a cancer research lab are required.
Successful candidates will be highly self-motivated; capable of producing high-quality, reproducible results with appropriate controls; and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PostdocThis position affords the opportunity to work in a vibrant and highly collaborative community at the HCI.
In addition, postdoctoral scientists will be mentored in gross and histomorphologic phenotyping of in vivo models and in conducting studies with patient tissue samples.
Dr. Grossmann is a molecular and surgical pathologist at ARUP Laboratories and an investigator at the HCI.
