    Job Summary

    Are you ready to be part of a brand marketing team that wants to defy convention and disrupt an industry? To take on a category of Goliaths? TaxAct is looking for a skilled marketing professional to join our team, someone who wants to push TaxAct into culture in a way that makes people stop in their tracks. We are seeking an enthusiastic, convention-challenging, Marketing Manager to join our TaxAct marketing team.

    In this role, you will help build our capability and understanding of effectiveness of our marketing activity, driving recommendations to optimize plans and investments. We are looking for a digital first strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and experience leading in either a Client or Agency environment.

    The Brand Manager, Strategy & Performance is a critical member of the marketing organization, reporting to the Director, Brand Strategy.

TaxAct is a hybrid workplace based in Dallas, TX. This role can be hybrid or remote.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate across our marketing and agency teams on campaign measurement, optimization, and evaluation to maximize overall business results.
    • Generate insights, findings, and data-backed recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness; ability to package and communicate recommendations for stakeholders, including senior leadership across marketing.
    • Drive strategic thought leadership with analytics and measurement across upper funnel media, social, digital video; with understanding of CRM, search, website, and content.
    • Plan, develop, and implement consistent reporting methods designed for easy consumption by leadership stakeholders (e.g. PowerPoint, charts, dashboards).
    • Own competitive marketing analysis including positioning, messaging, advertising and media.
    • Lead continuous evolution of the TaxAct's brand marketing strategy in line with the evolving media landscape and changes in consumer behavior.
    • Manage development of agency & vendor scopes of work and implement processes to track, adjusting as needed.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field and/or relevant experience in media, marketing, or advertising.
    • 7+ years experience in digital media, marketing, or advertising.
    • Previous work experience in a quantitative marketing role managing strategy and measurement.
    • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, reports, graphs, and more.
    • Experience with Google Analytics tools preferred.
    • Flexible and adaptable - capable of proactively managing multiple projects at various stages of completion and quickly shifting priorities as needed.
    • Strong communicator and excellent "storyteller" with experience creating and delivering impactful recommendations in writing, visually, and verbally.
    • Impressive collaboration skills with the ability to form effective partnerships across cross-functional teams and agency partners.
    • Analytically minded, with experience analyzing marketing data and the ability to interpret and synthesize data across data sources.
    • Relentless learner with a desire to improve/rethink ways of doing things and implement innovative approaches.
    • Detail-oriented, organized and self-motivated.
    • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience in tax or financial services is a plus, but not required.

    • Sitting for an extended period.
    • Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in an office environment.
    • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during the normal performance of the job.
