Position Overview:


As a Billing Coordinator at Commonwealth Endodontics, you will work directly with the Billing Manager, Insurance Coordinators, and other employees.

You will be responsible for assisting with various billing functions, including insurance verification, payment processing, and assisting patients with billing inquiries.

  • HIPAA & OSHA Compliant
  • Current BLS/CPR Certification
  • Dental billing and insurance experience (required)
  • Certificate from medical/dental billing program or comparable experience (preferred)

Position Responsibilities:


  • Resolve insurance claim rejections and denials
  • Review and explain insurance benefits to patients
  • Review Accounts Receivable (AR) Report to Ensure Timely Receipt of Insurance Claims and Payments
  • Collect payments from patients and insurance companies
  • Ensure compliance of office personnel on company policy regarding collection procedures and practices
  • Responsible for insurance verifications, the processing of dental and medical insurance claims, and management of relationships with insurance carriers
  • Contact insurance companies and patients regarding coverage determinations and outstanding balances
  • Research and resolve insurance billing issues
  • Directly assists the Doctors, Practice Administrator and Office Managers to create and prepare financial arrangement and insurance options that meet both patients' and practice's needs
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to use practice software systems. Experience and proficiency in Excel is a plus
  • Specialized understanding and experience in handling insurance and billing matters in a medical/dental office setting
  • Processes insurance payments and ensures timely collection from patients and insurers
  • Provide, and complete insurance paperwork and obtain information from patients' insurance provider(s) as needed to ensure payment
  • Actively pursues provision of excellent patient service
  • Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
  • Must be able to handle multiple deadlines and task assignments comfortably and efficiently
  • Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings
  • Occasionally there may be some travel, by car or plane, required in order for you to participate in continuing education or seminars
  • Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically

Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
