RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Document work according to standards.
  • Follow written and verbal direction.

  • Learn relevant policies and procedures and applies them to the job. Learn safety principles including items such as safe work permits, lockout tagout, and thermal stress.
  • Learn basic departmental function and deliverables.
  • Demonstrate basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and working with fractions.
  • Work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to utilize basic trouble shooting and critical thinking skills.

  • Understand and follow the departmental expectations regarding attendance, accountability and communication with supervision
  • Complete all training prior to execution of activity.
  • Read, understand, and follow all Safety and Environmental guidance.
  • Familiarization and compliance with Regulatory Requirements such as but not limited to OSHA (24 Hour HAZWOPER), RCRA, EPA, IDEM, Title V, and DOT. Learn and demonstrate proficiency in operating fork trucks and fork lifts including a narrow isle lift and pallet jacks.
  • Learn and demonstrate proficiency in yard tractor operations.
  • Learn and demonstrate proficiency in aerial work platforms.
  • Learn solid waste warehousing operations including bar code scanners and databases, and conveyor system operations. This ranges from receiving, storage, and destruction of the waste.
  • Complete training and become competent on T148 warehouse operation and Container Handling Management System (CHMS) system, as well as DeltaV system.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Prior chemical manufacturing experience is preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Drivers License required
