    About Mining Datacenter:
    Mining DataCenter is one of Bitdeer's business verticals.

    Historically the team can be traced back to 2013 when it began providing specialized services for facility design, construction, maintenance, and general one-stop technical support.

    Currently we have 5 fully compliant datacenters around the world.

    Since 2013, we have been working on refining the DataCenter side of the business and constantly enriching our experience within the industry.

    As of today, our team has built 30+ DataCenters around the world.

    We are also currently running 5 DataCenters of our own, one of which is one of the largest in North America.


    Our DataCenter service includes:
    site research and reporting
    collaborative development
    site construction (design, construction and renovation)
    miner logistics (shipping, customs declaration and clearance)
    miner operation
    miner repairs

    Bitdeer Inc.

    is searching for an accomplished, experienced Electrical Engineer with experience in Low, Medium and High Voltage, with the passion and motivation to contribute to innovative, industry-leading projects.

    The electrical engineer will collaborate with a variety of colleagues across project teams and other departments. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver who finds pragmatic solutions for technical challenges. This position will be reporting to General Manager of US Datacenter Business.

    What you will be responsible for:
    Develop detailed Electrical Engineering CAD drawings and specifications related to power supply infrastructure for mining data center. This includes site plans, load calculations, panel schedules, PDU specifications, rack elevations and layouts, cable tray and conduit, wire sizing and other related engineering work
    Assist procurement to specify electrical equipment including transformers, switches, distribution panels, PDUS, cabling, cable trays and other electrical equipment and associated ratings to meet electrical Code requirements
    Provides electrical engineering recommendations and technical support on electrical engineering design, scope of work, equipment procurement etc.
    Assists with cost allocation/estimation, budgeting, resource planning, scheduling, and project management
    Establishes technical standards in reviews, documentations, and designs.
    During the construction process, check and ensure all the equipment match our requirement and follow the design, ensure all the electrical equipments, cables, installations meets the standards, and make sure all the necessary tests have done and satisfy the codes' requirements
    Lead on-site electrical safety maintenance: including but not limited to regular safety checking for all electrical equipment, power supply infrastructure to maintain a good level of risk management to avoid downtime of major equipment/machineries or any accidents
    Provide electrical technical support to new sites development
    Power system modeling, analysis, and design
    Experience in the design of power systems for medium and high voltage distribution
    Design of grounding and lightning protection systems
    Comply with local, state, and federal regulations to uphold the company's reputation
    Communicate engineering information across teams and departments to facilitate successful completion of large-scale projects
    Troubleshoot to solve unforeseen problems
    Work and liaise with internal key stakeholders in the US as well as in Asia
    Other duties as assigned


    How you will stand out:
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with Power systems emphasis
    Professional Engineer certification would be beneficial but not mandatory
    10 years of experience in electrical engineering or project management
    3 to 8 years of verifiable professional design experience with medium and high voltage power systems and distribution
    Substation design experience desired

    Knowledge of power distribution equipment including transformers, switches, power quality, harmonic analysis, short circuit and arc flash analysis, grounding, and lightning protection.

    Fluency with MS office suite, AutoCAD, and power system modelling software
    Works well with teams and other design professionals.
    Sensitive to time, costs, and deadlines
    Capacity to analyze a problem from multiple perspectives and explore creative solutions.
    Strong communication skills and attention to detail
    Ability to travel to various locations
