    Technical Services Project Manager (TSPM)

    Director of Technical ServicesLocation: Dallas/Remote/Worksite FacilitySummaryAct as the technical lead to facilitate safe and compliant waste receipts at the firm overseeing and giving final approval of all customer and internal waste profiles and corresponding shipment requests.

    Interfaces with customers and internal departments to provide regulatory guidance with all applicable state and federal requirements and complete all necessary approval documentation in support of safe and compliant waste receipts.

    Support customers with ELITE and train them on the use of it as well as facilitate resolution to problems associated with ELITE or completing any of the required documentation in support of waste profiling and shipping.

    Assist other departments and areas as needed. Reports to the Director of Technical Services.

    This position is assigned to the Dallas office, but based on assignment offices may be remote and the candidate will be required to travel at least one-week every other month.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    • Responsible for providing direct technical and regulatory support to all company's operational activities, including waste receipt, waste acceptance. waste profile review and approval, operation support functions, planning and scheduling, as well as direct customer support in planning and coordination for all waste related activities.
    • Provides alternative analysis and tools for evaluating service approaches.
    • Assists in ensuring that customers shipping low level radioactive (LLRW) or Mixed LLRW waste to company's for disposal have appropriate waste management programs/procedures and qualified personnel in place to enable them to effectively characterize, package, and transport LLRW to company's for disposal in compliance with company's Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC) and the license.
    • Ensures customers are provided the proper and timely assistance with the preparation of waste profiles, shipping documentation, and other regulatory required paperwork.
    • Works closely with Site Management to ensure timely and compliant receipt and management of waste.
    • Works with licensing, engineering, BD, and the site on new and existing product delivery and regulatory support.
    • Provides and coordinates communication with generators regarding resolution of acceptance or waste service issues.
    • Assists in presenting technical approaches for waste management to potential and existing clients and assists with the technical write-ups that will be included in proposals to the perform work.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree (B.S) in a physical science from an accredited college or university; and three years of experience with Hazardous and/ or Radioactive Waste Management, including two years supervisory experience; or related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
    Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
    Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully. An individual should have knowledge of Development software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

    Other Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated in depth knowledge or ability in the following areas; Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); Department of Transportation (DOT); Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ); Texas Administration Code (TAC); Understanding of State and Facility policies and regulations; Maintaining effective relations with supervisors, internal staff and outside agencies; Ability to coordinate activities among multiple departments in order to meet or exceed expectations; Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
