    This position is responsible to work with the President and CL team members to develop and execute marketing strategies that support the CL Department goals.

    These duties include oversight and management of the company's relationships with its agents, identification and recruitment of new agents, creation and execution of marketing initiatives to support the company's product and state expansion plans, and oversight of the CL Department's customer facing materials including hard copy fliers and web site content.

    This position will have budget responsibilities for the CL Marketing Department and supervisory responsibilities for its members.


    Requirements

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Acts as advisor to the CL President and the executive management team concerning key marketing issues impacting the Company.
    • Builds, develops, and manages a marketing team responsible for effectively carrying out the Company marketing objectives and strategies.
    • Develops and oversees execution of strategic plans and goals to meet Company marketing objectives.
    • Monitors and analyzes marketing activity against goals and provides reports on progress to the CL President.
    • Oversees agency management functions including communication, agent planning, agency rehabilitation plans and terminations, and new agent appointments.
    • Monitors market and competitor changes and provides information to CL management on these changes.
    • Oversees the development and content of all customer facing materials to ensure they provide accurate meaningful information, support the marketing plan objectives, and are an effective expenditure of resources.
    • Prepares presentations to explain the Company's current and future marketing plans
    • Includes marketing visitation and management of assigned agents, both in an assigned territory and with key agency assignments.
    • Maintains underwriting authority as assigned by CUO and utilizes that authority for supporting underwriting with assorted duties including: prequalifications, book roll reviews, and pricing and inspection decisions on individual accounts.
    • Maintains productive, professional relationships with key team members including Commercial Lines Product Management, PL Marketing Vice President, internal Marketing staff, and CL Underwriting Management.
    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree and five years of related marketing management experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry. Industry education including CPCU or CIC highly desired. Underwriting authority commensurate with experience.
