Welcome to the Whittier City School District, a Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade school district with eight elementary schools, two middle schools, and one K-8 school. We serve approximately 6,300 students who matriculate into the Whittier Union High School District. Whittier City School District offers advanced technology programs, including 1:1 devices, Apple TV, and innovative instruction to support all students. Whittier City School District is one of seven local districts that join together in a Special Education Cooperative (SELPA) serving Whittier area special needs students. Job Description / Essential Elements:

SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIAN
SCHEDULE On call as needed PRIMARY DUTIES Under general supervision, to perform cleaning and maintenance of buildings and grounds; other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of the standard practices, methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the cleaning of buildings.
Ability to use required tools and equipment safely and skillfully; follow oral and written directions; work without supervision; order, receive, and account for necessary supplies and equipment..
High school graduation or equivalent. .
Ability to speak, read, and write English..

Requirements / Qualifications

•Application needs to be accompanied by resume with professional references and MUST submit proof of high school graduation/GED (minimum requirement)

•H-6 DMV printout of 10 year driving history (Obtain H-6 document from Department of Motor Vehicles office-$5)

Comments and Other Information
