Job Description

There are 2 shifts available:

Day time maintenance works Monday – Friday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm (8 hr. shifts.) Day mechanics have staggered start times so there is coverage into the late afternoon to support evening mechanics if need. Start time is TBD (we can be flexible if needed) we can be flexible or may ask candidate if they are interested in one of the other start times if needed.

Evening Mechanics work Monday – Thursday 3:00 pm – 1:30 am.

Position Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic conducts production machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance service. The Maintenance Department is also responsible for maintenance of buildings and grounds.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

· Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.

· Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines including motors, gears, and conveyor systems.

· Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
