The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is the state's lead agency for environmental management and stewardship protecting our air, water and land.
The Work You Will Do:
The Florida Clean Boating Programs, Clean Vessel Act Grant Program, is accepting applications for a full time (40 hours per week), OPS Government Operations Consultant II position.
This position is responsible for coordinating grant applications, grant agreements (contracts), invoicing, and project tracking activities in association with the Clean Vessel Act (CVA) Grant Program.
The Difference You Will Make:
The CVA Program is funded through a Federal grant awarded by the U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service for funding of pump out projects and education and outreach in marina and boating facilities throughout the state of Florida.
Marina facilities serve as a gateway to the water and serve as a partner in education and outreach in protection of Florida's resources.
Pump out facilities are utilized by marinas and boaters to remove waste from recreational boats. The CVA Clean Boater Program helps to provide educational materials to marinas and boaters on best practices while boating.How You Will Grow:

The Government Operations Consultant II will assist applicants, process grant applications, develop grant agreements (contracts), and prepare grantee reimbursement requests in accordance with policies and procedures established by the Department's Finance and Accounting and Contracts offices.
