    The Work You Will Do:


    The Florida Clean Boating Programs, Clean Vessel Act Grant Program, is accepting applications for a full time (40 hours per week), OPS Government Operations Consultant II position.


    This position is responsible for coordinating grant applications, grant agreements (contracts), invoicing, and project tracking activities in association with the Clean Vessel Act (CVA) Grant Program.


    The Difference You Will Make:
    The CVA Program is funded through a Federal grant awarded by the U.S.

    Fish and Wildlife Service for funding of pump out projects and education and outreach in marina and boating facilities throughout the state of Florida.

    Marina facilities serve as a gateway to the water and serve as a partner in education and outreach in protection of Florida's resources.

    Pump out facilities are utilized by marinas and boaters to remove waste from recreational boats. The CVA Clean Boater Program helps to provide educational materials to marinas and boaters on best practices while boating.

    Your Specific Responsibilities:


    The Government Operations Consultant II will assist applicants, process grant applications, develop grant agreements (contracts), and prepare grantee reimbursement requests in accordance with policies and procedures established by the Department's Finance and Accounting and Contracts offices.

    The OPS Government Operations Consultant II will process grant agreements in the Salesforce Grant Management System.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    Knowledge data input, data management and data analysis
    Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
    Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.
    Ability to determine work priorities, assign work and insure proper completion of work assignments.
    Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
    Ability to work independently.

    Required and Preferred Qualifications:


    An Associates degree from an accredited college or university; and one year of verifiable related experience; or Any combination of post-secondary education or verifiable related experience, as described in this posting, for a total of two years is required.

    Previous grant/contract knowledge and processing is highly desirable.
    Knowledge or experience in state purchasing through My Florida Marketplace is a plus.
    Budget or accounting experience is a plus and data management through Salesforce and GIS experience is a plus.
    Experience in education and outreach including updating website materials will be an asset to the grant program.


    The successful candidate will either hold a Florida Certified Contract Manager certificate or gain certification within six months of employment.
