    Description
    LHH is working with a manufacturing company that has been in business for over 75 years. This company is looking for a new Senior Lead Cost Accountant.

    In this role you will oversee cost management across all company entities, collaborating closely with department managers to analyze costs and enhance overall profitability.

    The ideal candidate will have experience with different costing methods, the ability to build costing methods from scratch, and solid business acumen to see forward impacts.


    Job Responsibilities:
    Lead and mentor the cost accounting team directly.
    Conduct recruitment, interviews, hiring, and training of new staff, identifying training needs for existing personnel.
    Perform critical assessments of budgets and cost projections.
    Evaluate incoming products, resources, and services to ensure cost-effectiveness.
    Stay informed about market trends impacting resource costs.
    Analyze invoices to verify the accuracy of received products/services against expected costs.
    Work with department heads to strategize waste minimization.
    Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of cost drivers' interdependency.
    Develop and implement proactive solutions and cost-cutting measures.
    Present new strategies and assessments compellingly to stakeholders.
    Roll out clear cost-saving programs with defined timelines and assessment goals.
    Assist Product Management with cost estimates for new product development.

    Job Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or a related field.
    5+ years of proven experience in cost control, including a lead capacity.
    Exceptional organizational skills with a strong data aptitude.
    Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
    Solid networking and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to generate budgets and reports.
