    JOB SUMMARY

    The Director of Stores will play a key leadership role within our retail team in overseeing the operations, performance, and profitability of KHAITE's retail stores.

    As the Director of Stores, you are responsible for developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, driving sales and customer service excellence, analyzing sales data to inform business decisions, fostering a positive and productive work environment, training and developing a store team, ensuring that each store meets or exceeds its goals and opening new store locations. The Director of Stores will also work closely with senior management to align store operations with the overall business strategy, ensure compliance with company standards and policies, and foster a culture that aligns with KHAITE's Mission, Vision, and Values of Creativity, Integrity, Kindness, Agility, and Tenacity. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential for success in this position.

    This position is based in our NY office and reports to the CEO.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Client Development:

    • Partner with key stakeholders to execute consistent excellence in the client journey across all KHAITE stores and pop-ups that are aligned with the Brand's Mission, Vision, and Values.
    • Partner with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising and Brand Marketing to develop relevant selling ceremonies, buying strategies, necessary retail tools, trainings and guidelines.
    • Build and develop strategic initiatives to evolve the client journey for the Brand and the Client in partnership with other internal key stakeholders while staying in line with the luxury market.
    • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure client experience, loyalty and recruitment within directly owned retail stores.
    • Attendance at worldwide VIC events as necessary and in-line with budget

    Operational Excellence:

    • Responsible for supporting the retail expansion strategy with on time, on budget and on brand store opening procedures and execution.
    • Establish and maintain operational excellence that is compliant, consistent and in adherence with local and Company policies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize proformas, ensure four-wall efficiency and brand standards are met worldwide.
    • Implement efficient and effective systems, tools, and technologies to streamline operations and improve productivity.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal & external stakeholders contributing to each store's operation and success.
    • Partner with store leadership and corporate teams on strategic initiatives that enhance store environments, create consistent and compelling shopping experience, and uphold superior standards that represent the brand as outlined in our Company's Mission, Vision, Values.

    Team Leadership:

    • Lead a team of retail leadership for directly owned retail locations providing guidance, coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities.
    • Foster a culture that aligns with our Mission, Vision and Values of Creativity, Integrity, Kindness, Agility and Tenacity.
    • Set clear goals and objectives, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback to drive individual, team success and talent retention.

    Drive Store Performance:

    • Monitor and analyze retail key performance metrics. Work closely with each Store Director to ensure financial goals related to their P&L are being met.
    • Drive profitability by ensuring our store team members are setting and exceeding sales goals, managing costs, delivering outstanding customer service, and providing helpful insights back to the corporate team.
    • Establish performance goals for all direct reports and monitor performance on a continuous basis.
    • Ensure visual merchandising strategies align with company expectations and support sales targets.

    Financial Management:

    • Develop and manage the annual budget for retail P&Ls, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
    • Monitor and analyze revenue, expenses, and other financial performance metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to support meeting annual performance targets.
    • Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining a luxury customer experience along with compliance and excellence in operational standards.
    • Evaluate changes in luxury client service standards to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes necessary to ensure client and employee satisfaction, while maintaining market alignment.

    Education/Experience:

    • 15+ years in store management experience, with 5+ years in a multi-unit role; preferably in a luxury setting
    • Experience with new-store openings
    • Experience with team trainings & employee development
    • Computer literate; learn and utilize various software packages
    • College degree or equivalent
    • Strong analytical skills

    The salary range is $215,000-250,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon the candidates' relevant skills and experience. Other benefits include a company bonus plan, employee discounts, medical, dental, vision, a 401k plan and other ancillary benefits.
