The district of Heinsberg is currently seeking several social workers / social pedagogues (m/f/d) for the case management in the field of "municipal integration management" as well as for a part-time position (50%) in the field of "early education/elementary level" at the Municipal Integration Center.


Based on the Participation and Integration Act, the district of Heinsberg has established a Municipal Integration Center, which is part of the Center for Municipal Education and Integration.


The Municipal Integration Center coordinates, supports and promotes the integration process of people with a migration background in cooperation with the municipalities in the district as well as civil society integration actors.

Its core tasks include advising and educating immigrants, as well as implementing federal or state-funded projects.


The new funding program Municipal Integration Management NRW (KIM) aims to provide refugees and immigrants with faster and more targeted access to participation and integration services through the establishment of a cross-sectoral counseling structure on site, making their arrival phase easier.

In addition, integration is to be firmly anchored as a cross-cutting task in all areas.

The tasks of the case management include:

  • Implementation of individual cross-sectoral case management
  • Initial consultation
  • Assessment
  • Goal setting/integration agreement
  • Care planning
  • Outreach social work
  • Identification and promotion of the skills of immigrants
  • Case analysis and initiation of case conferences
  • Analysis and supplementation of existing support services on site
  • Identification of gaps in services
