- Develop and design comprehensive employee benefits packages considering health insurance, retirement plans, disability coverage and other benefits
- Collaborate with leadership to align benefit offerings with organizational goals and associate needs

- Develop, implement, and communicate leave policies and procedures in alignment with legal requirements and organizational guidelines
- Serve as point of contact forassociates seeking information or assistance with leave-related matters
- Receive and processassociate lave requests, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date- records ofassociate leave balances, approvals, and related documentation
- Collaborate with department managers to address leave-related matters
- Utilize leave management systems to track and report onassociate leave usage
- Coordinate with relevant parties to ensure a seamless transition back to work
- Work on strategies to enhanceassociateengagement through benefit programs
- Seek feedback fromassociatesto continuously improve the benefits package
- Addressassociate inquiries and concerns related to benefits
- Resolve issues related to claims, coverage, and other benefit-related matters
- Conduct educational sessions or workshops to helpassociatesunderstand and make informed decisions regarding their benefits
- Stay updated on relevant employment laws and regulations related to benefits
- Ensure that benefit programs comply with legal requirements and industry standards
- Ensure that organizations leave policies comply with legal requirements
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and active listening. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and manage time effectively. Flexibility to adapt programs in response to organization changes and needs
- Knowledge in applicable HR laws and regulations (federal and state)
- Knowledge of insurance and retirement markets
- Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and to build trust across the organization
- Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, legal changes, and evolving best practices

- Graduation from an accredited 4-year University with a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or other related field is preferred. HR-specific experience or military background may substitute for education

Position Overview:
The Benefits & Wellness Specialist provides support and consultation to Shamin Hotels associates as it relates to benefits and associate wellness. They are responsible for implementing and managing all associate benefit programs within Shamin Hotels including benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs and other benefits. This role is responsible for seeking out new opportunities and partnerships for associate wellness to make Shamin Hotels competitive in our industry. The ideal candidate has a passion for serving the community and maintains meticulous records ensuring compliance to all laws. The Benefits Specialist provides assistance to associates with claims and information requests relating to their benefits in a timely and professional manner as well as training managers to empower them with questions they may have. Not only is this candidate able to navigate benefit details to support Shamin Hotels, but they also connect with associates in the field advocating for how the benefit plans can best serve them.
