Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Accountant who will be a key player in our financial reporting and accounting operations. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial statements, and will involve developing and maintaining best-practice accounting procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage month-end general ledger activities, financial reporting, and year-end audit preparation.
Conduct monthly reconciliations and support budget and forecast activities.
Collaborate with other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Respond to inquiries from the Executive Team and other managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests, and other ad hoc reporting needs.
Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.

Primary Skills & Requirements:

BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
Proven experience in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in PC and strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word. Must be comfortable working with pivot tables, VLookups, and complex models.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
CPA certification and Sage experience are preferred.
