Position Summary:

Responsible for greeting patients, collection of payments, insurance eligibility verification, delivering excellent customer service, answering phone calls, addressing patient questions and providing overall welcoming environment


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Keep work area, lobby & conference rooms neat and organized.
  • Patient Services Agents are responsible for supporting and assisting other Patient Services Agents.
  • Patient Service Agents IIIs are responsible for supporting, training and assisting other Patient Service Agents to grow and develop in their careers. Also, Patient Service Agent IIs should assist Patient Service Agent Is in a similar manner.
  • Answer all incoming calls in a pleasant and professional manner, route to the appropriate person and/or take message.
  • Smile while on the phone and when greeting patients and other customers.
  • Demonstrate care, concern and courtesy when interacting with all internal or external customers.
  • Display warm and pleasant personality, emphasizing tact, empathy and patience.
  • Assists patients with insurance questions and navigating and problem solving issues over the phone.
  • Display professionalism, good judgment, maturity and fairness when interacting with others.
  • Handles assignments, meeting all given deadlines or escalates issues if need arises
  • Stays busy during quiet times in front, e.g. sort paperwork, collate mail, encounter data.
  • Adheres to company policy regarding unauthorized use of Internet for personal gains during work hours.
  • Any other projects as requested by administration.
  • Know location of Policy and Procedure and Communication books and be familiar with contents.
  • Assist Supervisor with special duties/projects.


The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $18 - $21 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.


The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.


If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Requirements:


Education and / or Experience:


  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Windowsbased computer skills preferred.
