    Description

    Job Title: Inventory and Cataloguing Manager at District

    General Statement

    Responsible for overseeing inventory and cataloguing activities within the District, ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Performing scheduled cycle and exception counts of physical inventories
    • Analysis and control of supply and demand discrepancies
    • Recommendation of inventory disposition
    • Verification and updates to catalog item specifications
    • Work assignment, supervision, and compliance monitoring

    Other Job Functions

    • Development of improved inventory measurement methods
    • Maintenance and distribution of standards specifications
    • Completion of assigned duties

    Environmental Conditions

    This role involves a mix of office work and warehouse/storeroom environment exposure. Office work includes standard equipment use, while warehouse work involves various tools and materials.

    Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Knowledge of storeroom and warehousing operations
    • Expertise in computerized inventory control management
    • Understanding of statistical methods for inventory analysis
    • Familiarity with industrial commodities and equipment
    • Technical writing skills for engineering specifications
    • Problem-solving and supervisory abilities
    • Coordination of inventory studies
    • Effective communication skills

    Minimum Qualification Requirements

    Graduation from a four-year accredited college or university in relevant fields and two years of experience in cataloging and inventory control, emphasizing inventory analysis in a digital environment.

    Substitution

    Additional experience may substitute for educational requirements.

    Promotional Requirement

    • One year of service as a Stores Specialist within the District
    • Civil service status as a Stores Specialist
