- Experience and understanding with PKI implementation and troubleshooting communications between routers via IPsec.
- Experience and understanding in how to generate CSR (Certificate Signing Request) for various network devices and adding approved certificates to respective network devices afterward.
- Experience and understanding with firewall rules and applications of ACLs.
- Experience and understanding with network load balancers at layer 3 and layer
- Experience and understanding of 802.1X standards.
- Familiar with running and configuring ACAS scans.
- Familiar with hardening systems such as DoD STIG'ing and SCAP scanning.
- Effectively interact via good verbal and written communications with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Program Managers.
- Oncall support can happen so need to be okay with this
- Active DoD Secret Clearance minimum - Bachelors' Degree is required
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer focused on Cisco and/or Juniper appliances/environments
- 2+ years working on MCEN and DOD environments
- Solid technical understanding of network architectures to include network appliances; security appliances; application services; virtual environments; network management tools; network protocols; network troubleshooting; and optimizing network performance
- Ability to use software, tools, and scripts to configure, monitor, troubleshoot and repair network equipment
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting network problems
