**SUMMARY:** Responsible for driving a designated route to load and/or unload freight safely and timely.
**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** Drives a commercial motor vehicle as defined in 49 CFR Part , with a gross combination weight rating of 26,001 or more pounds inclusive of a towed unit with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than 10,000 pounds, or is of any size and is used in the transportation of materials found to be hazardous for the purposes of the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act, and which require the motor vehicle to be placarded under the Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR Part 172, Subpart F).
**SIGN-ON-BONUS:** New Experienced Drivers will receive a sign-on bonus of $2,000 (two thousand dollars). This bonus will be paid in two installments: 50% at completion of 6 months of employment with the remaining 50% at completion of 12 months of employment. The Driver must be employed in good standing and not subject to disciplinary action or subject to a performance improvement plan initiative.
**Qualifications**
**EDUCATION:** High school diploma or equivalent or experience in lieu of education.
**EXPERIENCE:** 2 years experience operating tractor-trailer equipment.
**TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:** Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
**OTHER:** Must possess a Class A CDL with the following endorsements: (a) X - Tanker and Hazardous Materials, (b) Doubles or Triples, and meet the current driver qualifications as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Also requires a current medical certificate.
**JOB SCOPE:** Position impacts a single business unit/segment.
**WORKING CONDITIONS:** Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
