    Job Description


    DescriptionAs the MRI Technologist you will perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require an in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology. You will be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room.


    You will:
    \t* · Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders
    \t* · Maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed
    \t* · Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations
    \t* · Perform accurate image archival
    \t* · Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media
    \t* · Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient

    \tSalary Range:
    $ $63.65 Hourly
    Qualifications
    • Licenses
    \t* o ARRT, CRT - required. MR certificate required

    \t
    \t* o ARRT, ARMRIT (MR) - required

    \t* · Venipuncture certificate - required
    \t* · BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required
    \t* · Graduate from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program - required
    \t* · AA or BS - preferred
    \t
    \t* · Siemens experience - preferred
    \t* · Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies
    \t* · Ability to identify contraindications for exams
    \t* · Excellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skills
    \t* · Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes)
    \t* · Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology
    \t* · Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
