Primary Duties and Responsibilities

As the MRI Technologist you will perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require an in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology. You will be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room. You will:
* · Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders
* · Maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed
* · Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations
* · Perform accurate image archival
* · Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media
* · Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient
