    Job Description


    DescriptionAs the MRI Technologist you will perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require an in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology. You will be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room.


    You will:

    \t* · Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders

    \t* · Maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed

    \t* · Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations

    \t* · Perform accurate image archival

    \t* · Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media

    \t* · Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient

    \tSalary Range:
    $ $65.56 Hourly
    Qualifications* Licenses


    \t
    • ARRT, CRT - required. MR certificate required

    \tOR


    \t
    • ARRT, ARMRIT (MR) - required

    \t
    • Venipuncture certificate - required

    \t
    • BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required

    \t
    • Graduate from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program - required

    \t
    • AA or BS - preferred

    \t
    • At least 1 year of MRI experience - preferred

    \t
    • Siemens experience - preferred

    \t
    • Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies

    \t
    • Ability to identify contraindications for exams

    \t
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skills

    \t
    • Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes)

    \t
    • Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology
