    Description

    We are seeking a Health and Life Insurance Agent to become a part of the team at our family owned insurance agency. We are looking for a motivated, friendly individual who is willing to learn and enjoys helping people. Daily activities include meeting with clients and offering solutions for their needs, taking phone calls, and prospecting for new clientele.

    Duties:

    Sales:

    • Meet with clients
    • Discovery – learn about customer needs and goals
    • Determine suitability
    • Educate customer on insurance options
    • Answer customer questions
    • Seminar presentations

    Answer the phone:

    • Answer customer questions
    • Backup Administrative Assistant with call overflow

    Maintain work calendar:

    • Appointments
    • Seminars
    • Company Events

    Continuing education:

    • 24hrs CE every two years for licensing
    • In-House training
    • Insurance company product training

    Prospect for customers:

    • Networking
    • Referrals

    Qualifications:

    Associate degree or higher preferred

    Strong communication skills

    Strong attention to detail

    Organizational and time management skills

    Comfortable in using internet-based programs, including email

    Professional and friendly

    Discreet in handling confidential information

    Holds a health and life insurance license or willing to acquire license
