- Provide engineering support services for resolving hardware/software issues at field sites
- Provide software development services such as code reviews, analysis and modifications
- Develop software test plans, procedures and reports
- Support technology refresh of legacy system hardware and software
- Assist with unit, regression and integration testing
- Occasional travel to airports across the nation to provide engineering support
- 12+ years experience as a professional Computer/Software engineer.
- Experience with the software development life cycle including gather requirements, development, testing and release
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to organize, present and explain information
- Excited to participate in a team environment but able to work well individually
- Self-motivated to deliver quality products with limited direction and guidance
- Understands the importance of collaboration with other team members
- Ability to pass an FAA background investigation (US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required)
- Ability to travel up to 25% if required
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science is required. The degree must be from a school of engineering accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology(ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum.
- Software programming experience using object oriented languages such as JAVA, C++, GO or C# is desirable
- Experience with Linux Operating Systems (e.g. Red Hat, Debian)
- Experience with high-level scripting languages (e.g. BASH, Python, Perl, Ruby) is desirable
- Experience with System Administration or Cyber Security is desirable
- Experience using software version control software such as GIT and issue tracking software such as JIRA
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
