is currently hiring a **Food Service Worker** for our Moravian Hall Square Campus in Nazareth, PA. There are full time and part time opportunities available with ***starting wages*** ***up to $16.50 per hour.***The Food Service Worker performs a variety of tasks ranging from:preparing and serving food, ensuring a safe work environment, kitchen sanitation, and equipment maintenance. The Food Service Worker is also responsible for washing dishes or pots either by hand, using the three-compartment sink, and or by running dishes through the dish machine. The Food Service Worker will re-stock all three areas of the Health Center and remove all the trash and recycling after each meal period. Restock nourishments.
Prepare the dish room for each meal period.
Perform light and heavy cleaning assignments and was dishes as needed.
Sweeping and mopping floors.
Disposal of trash and recycling.
Prepare quality food and serve residents in a safe and courteous manner according to the safety, sanitation and service policies of the Culinary Services department.
Prepare and handle food in accordance with sanitary regulations established by the Department of Health and Moravian Hall Square.
Responsible for the quality and quantity of food prepared and served.
Must have the ability to interact well with elderly residents and staff.
1 year of food preparation experience preferred.
Must have visual acuity to wash dishes, silverware, and pans.
Willingness to perform repetitive tasks and cooperative, reliable behavior.
Shows dependability with scheduled work hours.
Ability to learn duties through on-the-job training.
Good communication skills with staff and management.
