    Grace Bible Fellowship Church (Nazareth, PA) – Pastor

    The Big Picture

    Grace Bible Fellowship Church ) is seeking a Pastor to provide spiritual leadership, with the Board of Elders, for the congregation of Grace Bible Fellowship Church. His focus shall be the pulpit ministry and pastoral leadership of the congregation.



    Requirements

    Qualifications

    A. The Pastor shall be a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (Eph 2:8-9; Rom 10:9-10)

    B. Must have a Growing Vital Relationship with The Lord facilitated by regular personal times of prayer and study in the Word of God that affects change in his life.

    C. The Pastor shall meet all the qualifications in 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Peter 5:1-4.

    D. The Pastor shall have a minimum of a bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) in pastoral or theological studies from an accredited evangelical college or seminary.

    E. He shall have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a similar ministry position.

    F. He must be ordained with the Bible Fellowship Church (or be willing to actively pursue this ordination or have his previous ordination recognized by the Bible Fellowship Church).

    Areas of Responsibility

    Preaching and Teaching

    1. The primary responsibility of the Pastor shall be the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. Additionally, he will be accountable for the composition and content of the worship service.

    2. The Pastor's preaching and teaching ministry shall promote and enhance the corporate worship of God, the knowledge of sound doctrine, the practice of personal holiness, the fellowship of the saints, the equipping of believers for ministry, and the strengthening of the family.

    3. The Pastor shall foster an environment with a strong focus on the evangelism of the lost and the cause of missions at home and abroad.

    G. Pastoral Care

    1. The Pastor shall actively pursue relationships with members, attendees, and prospects in ministering pastoral care.

    2. Visitation - He shall visit and promote the visitation of members, attendees, and prospects.

    3. Counseling - He shall counsel or refer to Biblical counselors as needed.

    4. He shall oversee and officiate the Lord's Supper, baptisms, the dedication of children, weddings, funerals, etc., and perform ministry and counseling appropriate to each.

    5. Training and equipping others for church ministry.

    H. Administration

    1. The Pastor shall be an unofficial member of all boards and committees. He shall be present at all congregational meetings except as provided in the Faith and Order.

    2. With the cooperation of other church staff, he shall implement the decisions and policies of the Board of Elders in leading and supervising the ministry and workers of the church.

    3. He shall oversee with the cooperation of volunteers and staff, worship planning, church records, correspondence, publicity, reports, church calendar, website, communications, and the church office.

    4. He shall seek to remain informed of the spiritual life and programs of the church and guide the Board of Elders, the Board of Deacons, and the congregation in evaluation, planning, organization, and vision casting.

    5. He will have oversight of church staff.

    6. He shall meet regularly with the pastoral staff to coordinate the various staff and ministry responsibilities, mentor, plan, evaluate, pray for, and encourage a unified spirit and purpose for Grace Church's entire ministry.

    I. Other Responsibilities

    1. He shall promote and maintain the relationship of Grace Bible Fellowship Church within the Bible Fellowship Church denomination by being supportive of denominational agencies and ministries and shall fulfill denominational assignments and responsibilities.

    2. He shall submit a report to the congregation at the Annual Congregational Meeting.

    3. The Pastor shall seek to be visible in the community and promote and uphold a God-honoring reputation of the church.

    4. He shall seek opportunities to participate in selected continuing educational opportunities and seminars.

    5. He shall meet other responsibilities outlined in the church's by-laws and the Faith and Order of the Bible Fellowship Church including but not limited to the annual BFC Conference.



    Benefits

    Compensation:

    50-60K plus a parsonage
