Mental Health Specialist - Bronx, United States - Children's Village
Description
Position Overview:
The Mental Health Specialist provides both direct and indirect services to runaway and homeless young adults.
Direct services include completing the initial psychosocial assessment, providing assessments when needed, connecting clients to needed services, determining the follow through on referrals, facilitating treatment team meetings, group work and individual therapy.
Indirect responsibilities will include maintaining relationships with referral organizations and contacts as well as developing new resources for clients. The Mental Health Specialist is expected to conduct his/her work in accordance with the principles of person-centered practice.Position Qualifications:
LMSW/LCSW/LMHC required. Min of 2 years' experience in the field of mental health preferred. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience working with youth or young adults who have been homeless.
Salary:
$65,000 (Flat Rate)
