    Safety Manager

    Star Extruded Shapes, Inc. is a locally owned aluminum extrusion company with more than 40 years in business. We're currently seeking a Safety Manager. This position will assist the HR Manager in daily operations. Star is seeking a reliable and well-organized individual with excellent computer skills. Successful candidates must be able to manage their time and complete assigned tasks. Previous experience in safety and/or a manufacturing plant is required.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    This position will perform all safety related duties including but not limited to:
    • Bureau of Workers' Compensation
    • Assists, plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
    • Plans and implements training for employees on work site safety practices
    • Address safety compliance concerns and put preventative actions in place
    • Maintain safety files and records
    • Conducts post-accident investigations and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards
    • Assist, set up and conducts training
    • Assists in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs
    • Manage custodial staff for housekeeping and safety issues
    • Manage on-site security staff for all security and safety issues
    • Work with HR Department where and when needed
