    Role description:

    Arcadis is seeking a Senior Construction Manager with 10 years of experience to join and help grow our Construction Management team in the Southeast. This on-site role involves an initial assignment in Plantation, FL for a large-diameter pipeline project.

    The SeniorConstruction Manager , with the support of a strong nationally recognized technical staff, will utilize their expertise and technical knowledge of the construction market along with a proven reputation within the Southern US to successfully win and execute projects, to help build and grow our practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join our local team.

    Role accountabilities:

    This role will provide construction leadership through all phases of projects up to and including managing project teams' daily construction activities, managing contracts, maintaining QA/QC requirements and approaches, while providing clients with regular progress updates.

    Other responsibilities include:
    • Monitoring performance of contractors, overall site safety, subcontractors and suppliers and follows up on and informs the clients of any related including any changes or deviation from plan, on a regular basis.
    • Working with Project / Program Manager to plan, manage, execute, and deliver various engineering projects on time, on budget and to the performance expectations of the client.
    • Supervising and supporting the work of others; to include mentoring junior level technical staff.
    • Will utilize their expert knowledge of cost trends, change management, claims, and other construction-related matters to ensure overall success of project delivery while maintaining Arcadis' standards and specifications for project success.
    • Using both their oral and written communication skills to effectively lead and conduct progress, project, safety, scheduling and other contract administration meetings with client, local agencies, and the community.
    • Recommending improvements to the project cost, budgets, and schedules, requiring experience using Primavera P6, MS Project and PMWEB.
    • Other responsibilities will include acting as liaison to design staff for obtaining field information related to the answering of correspondence, RFI's and review of shop drawings.
    • Travel up to 25% may be required for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, construction oversight, etc.
    Qualifications & Experience:

    Required Qualifications
    • 10 years' experience in construction management on building or civil works projects (earthwork, roads, utilities, infrastructure, pumping stations, water and wastewater treatment plants).
    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related Engineering discipline, or registered through a United States' board of engineering as an engineer, Certified Construction Manager or as a licensed contractor, or equivalent years of experience.
    Key Skills and Attributes
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, databases, electronic reporting, and smart technology.
    • Advanced verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to interact effectively with the Construction Contractor management personnel and crew.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • 15+ years' experience in wastewater treatment system construction.
    • Masters' degree in Engineering, Construction or a BS in these fields and an MBA.
    • CCM or PE registration.
    • Experience with contracts involving collaborative delivery methods.
    • A PMP is also highly desired.
    • Active participation in a regional or national professional association

    Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $97,600-$146,400/year.
