Job Description:
Network Infrastructure Specialist at Sheppards Mill, NJ


As part of a team of specialists, you will be responsible for the design, operation, and development of the central network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN) at Sheppards Mill, NJ.

You will also play a key role in planning and implementing the city's converged network infrastructure, which serves as the foundation for digitalization in municipal buildings, including schools.

Additionally, you will work on planning and implementing network security measures against external and internal attacks, such as firewalls and access control.


Qualifications:

  • A completed university degree in the field of IT, or
  • A completed university degree in another field with several years of experience in IT, or
  • A completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist, or
  • A comparable education with several years of experience in IT
  • Ideally, you have extensive knowledge in operating IT networks, preferably with experience in CISCO networks and security components (firewalls)
  • You are an innovative and technologydriven individual who is willing to acquire futurerelevant knowledge. You work in a service and demandoriented manner and are able to develop solution strategies easily
  • You are excited to complement the team with your communication and integration skills, motivation, and confident demeanor

We offer:

  • A fulltime position initially limited to two years with the possibility of permanent employment, as well as a fulltime position limited to five years
