Description

Under the direction of the IT Supervisor II, this position provides support to California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) staff for Sacramento Headquarter locations.

The position supports personnel, purchasing, asset/fleet management, and facilities coordination. Incumbents may perform a wide variety of tasks requiring regular innovative problem-solving within broadly stated and non-specific guidelines.

Work with Supervisor's and staff to determine the operation needs of the Division. Process and track all Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs) for the Division. Review supporting hiring documents to ensure complete and correct. Liaise with Department's Health and Safety officers and Branch Staff on safety and building issues.

Provide analysis and recommendation for the appropriate purchasing/payment methods. Create requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, vouchers, and receipts in the Statewide FI$Cal system. Responsible for receiving vendor invoices for payment on IT and Non-IT service/professional services contracts, and purchase orders. Act as DTD building management coordinator.

Oversee tracking of supply inventories and the preparation of appropriate documentation, and coordination for equipment acquisitions, transfers, surplus and disposal with Business Management Branch (BMB) and completing procurement packages.

Coordinate division maintenance for all DTD fleet vehicles. Support asset tracking for DTD and the mandated reporting to BMB. Asset tracking includes documenting the inventory of all IT assets. Track budget and expenditures for DTD, using allocation-expenditures data from FI$Cal reports.

Working Conditions

Involves sitting some of the time but may involve walking to other department facilities or standing for brief periods. Attend meetings in Sacramento or via conference call.
