- Develop and communicate comprehensive information governance strategies aligned with the firm's objectives to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Lead all information governance initiatives in collaboration with the GC, CPO, COO, CIO, and CSO ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Formulate, implement, and maintain robust information governance policies and standard operating procedures based on industry best practices and legal requirements.
- Continuously improve and communicate records management and information governance best practices to firm personnel to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Oversee the recruitment, development, retention, and organization of the Records Management and Information Governance teams, fostering a culture of efficiency, teamwork, collaboration and solid customer service.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring their professional growth, and adherence to firm policies and procedures.
- Manage the firm's records retention efforts with a focus on legal compliance and risk mitigation, collaborating closely with the CPO, CSO and CIO.
- Identify potential risks and compliance issues related to information governance procedures, and implement effective solutions to address them.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm on data governance initiatives, including data loss prevention and privacy-related projects.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with the CIO, other directors, and managers to ensure alignment with information governance policies and practices.
- Maintain relationships with information governance vendors and service providers, ensuring the effective utilization of external resources to support the firm's objectives.

- Bachelor's Degree in Information Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in information governance, including management of teams responsible for enterprise information assets.
- CRM and/or IGP certification preferred.
- Knowledge or experience with relevant Information Governance standards such as ISO
- Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., iManage), Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Records Management Systems (e.g., IRM) desired.
- Strong understanding of legal regulations and industry best practices related to information governance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling confidential information.
- Balance competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, exercising patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
