- Evaluating drug literature through an analysis of experimental design and methodology to compare and contrast therapeutic regimens and roles for new medications, acting as a reliable source of information on medications and their use to endorse the best possible drug therapy that is suitable, cost-effective, and enhances clinical results.
- Providing assistance to the staff pharmacists and clinical experts as necessary to ensure top-notch patient care based on the latest clinical protocols.
- Engaging in the Pharmacy clinical support team and various cross-disciplinary patient care committees, managing drug use evaluations, and participating in additional projects as required to boost clinical pharmacy services and enhance patient care.
- In partnership with Pharmacy Leadership, developing, applying, and monitoring metrics to assess the value of pharmacy clinical services.
- Taking part in the system P&T Council and relevant system councils to develop drug regimens, order sets, and protocols within their area of expertise.
- Organizing continuous clinical education for Pharmacy Staff and other healthcare providers.
- Experience:
- Three (3) or more years of experience as a pharmacist in a health system.
- One (1) or more years of experience in a pharmacy leadership role or as a clinical pharmacist.
- Licensed as a registered Pharmacist in Connecticut or qualified to obtain licensure within 45 days.

The Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator will support Pharmacy leadership in creating, executing, and maintaining clinical pharmacy services to deliver optimal pharmaceutical care efficiently, safely, and economically. The Clinical Coordinator will also supervise the day-to-day activities of Clinical Pharmacy Services and formulary management. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
