- Direct and administer the overall operations of the Infusion Pharmacy services.
- Coordinate staff activities and manage the day-to-day operations of the Infusion Pharmacy.
- Fulfill the role and responsibilities of an Infusion Pharmacist as needed.
- Oversee pharmacy-related activities in the infusion division, including patient referral evaluations, product mixing and dispensing procedures, and clinical drug monitoring.
- Ensure effective internal and external communication of drug information.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all pharmacy activities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manage control and documentation of scheduled drug usage and inventory within the Infusion division.
- Conduct regular Performance Improvement (PI) meetings with staff to uphold The Joint Commission standards and enhance service quality.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Coordinator for supply acquisition and stock level maintenance.
- A degree from an accredited Pharmacy program.
- Previous managerial experience is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Extensive experience in clinical consultations, medication review, and usage evaluation for patients across all age groups.
- Demonstrated proficiency in nutrition support and pharmacokinetic dosing.
- Familiarity with relevant information systems, hardware, and software.
- Valid and active Pharmacy licensure in the appropriate state.
- CPR certification is required.
- Direct Reports: 1-2 Staff Pharmacists, 2 mix techs, 2 intake techs
- Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-6pm, on call nights, weekends, and holidays but only get called in around 10 times per year. Every other weekend on call, every third after second staff pharmacist comes onboard and is trained depending on volume
- Volume: averaging 500 infusions per month plus 500 DME Rx's (they do Diabetic glucose monitors, continuous glucose monitors, and insulin pump supplies for our team members as well)
